tax-deductible donation to the museum at the $500 Emeralds level. The Mel Fisher Maritime Museum is a 501(c)(3) fully accredited history museum that is actively involved in its own underwater archaeological projects. It is our goal to expand the reach of our stories and inspire a continued enthusiasm about the science of shipwrecks and the history they reveal.     "Adopt An Artifact: EMERALDS LEVEL Not all of the treasure found on the Atocha was listed in the ship official records. Many of the emeralds found on board were probably being smuggled to Spain. On display at the museum is a 77.76 carat uncut hexagonal emerald found a midst the shipwreck. Your tax deductible donation at the Emerald level entitles you to the following: Artifact description card, Quarterly electronic museum updates for one year, Diving into Glory: the Mel Fisher Maritime Museum by Carol Shaughnessy, and Museum replica of an antique telescope with a leather case.
