    Adopt An Artifact: POISON CUP LEVEL. Over 250 people died when the Atocha sank in 1622. The Spanish government searched for the treasure galleon for sixty years, but never found it. One of the treasures on display at the museum is an intricately engraved gold cup that would have held a Bezoar stone, used to detect arsenic.
